Battery Act (BattG)


Make sure that you dispose of your old batteries/rechargeable batteries at a municipal collection point or at your local retailer, as required by law. Disposal in normal household waste is prohibited and contravenes the Battery Act. Disposal is free of charge for you. You are also welcome to return the batteries/rechargeable batteries purchased from us free of charge after use. Batteries/rechargeable batteries must always be returned to us with sufficient postage. Returns of batteries/rechargeable batteries should be addressed to:

Batteries and rechargeable batteries that contain harmful substances are clearly marked with the symbol of a crossed-out dustbin. In addition, the chemical name of the corresponding harmful substances can be found under the symbol of the crossed-out dustbin.

 

Examples of this are (Hg) mercury, (Cd) cadmium, (Pb) lead.

You can also refer to this information again in the documents accompanying the delivery of goods or in the operating instructions of the respective manufacturer.
